Michelle's journey into hospitality began long before Soluna Stays was ever created. Early in her career, she worked as a television communicator in culinary programming based in Los Angeles, California, where she learned the importance of presentation, atmosphere, and the small details that make people feel truly welcomed. Working in fast-paced creative environments taught her that memorable experiences are rarely accidental — they are thoughtfully designed from beginning to end.

Over time, Michelle realized her passion extended beyond storytelling on screen. She became deeply inspired by the idea of creating spaces where people could slow down, reconnect, and experience a sense of comfort and beauty. That vision eventually evolved into Soluna Stays — a collection of thoughtfully curated vacation homes in Western North Carolina and Charleston, SC, designed to elevate every moment of a guest's stay.

Michelle's connection to Western North Carolina was immediate and deeply personal. Drawn to the peaceful mountain landscapes, slower pace of life, and sense of authenticity found in Waynesville, she discovered a place that felt grounding and inspiring at the same time. The rolling hills, fresh air, and quiet beauty of the Smoky Mountains offered something she had long been searching for — space to breathe, reflect, and reconnect with nature.

Today, Michelle proudly calls Waynesville home. She lives there with her dogs Tucker and Stetson, two horses, a mule and several beloved cats. Her love for horses began in childhood, a passion passed down by her father that has remained a meaningful part of her life ever since. Riding through the mountains and spending time outdoors continues to shape the calm, intentional lifestyle she now shares through Soluna Stays..

Michelle sees herself not simply as a host, but as an experience curator.
